We will do all in our power to ensure that we carry out our contractual duties without disturbing or disrupting the work of the client.

We carry full professional and public liability insurance and indemnity.

Our birds are cared for in a suitable fashion.

Our birds are legal and, where appropriate, we hold relevant licences for those birds.

Whenever a bird is flown, it will be fitted with long range GPS telemetry, to aid its recovery in the eventuality of it not returning to the site within operating hours.

We adhere to all current H&S regulations, and will also adhere to the specific H&S SOPs of each specific client.

We adhere to all relevant codes of practice.


We will not disclose nor divulge any of the client’s operational material, information or practices, nor any material such as may be divulged to us in order for us to carry out our bird control duties.

Press & Public Relations

We will not divulge to the media any details of our operations for the client, except with the prior written permission of an authorised agent of the client’s management.

The Company abides by all statutory obligations including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

We carry out regular training sessions, both external and in-house, working in conjunction with accredited training bodies in order to meet our specific client requirements.

All our operatives are required to hold basic falconry qualifications and the BPCA (British Pest Control Association) Certificate Urban Bird Control & Management.

The Bird Control Company operatives receive COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health) training and full personal protective equipment (PPE) prior to attendance on-site; wearing of this PPE is mandatory for all Company operatives while working on-site.

Our company training policy and philosophy reflects our continued commitment to meet with:

  • All animal welfare regulations, including the Wildlife & Countryside Act (1981), as amended, and the European Birds Directive (1992);
  • Transport and movement of animals legislation;
  • The Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974 ;
  • The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999;
  • Health & Safety training for managers;
  • Employee induction training;
  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 1999;
  • Risk Assessments;
  • Method Statements;
  • Other regulatory and statutory legislation as dictated by contract requirements.

All Company personnel will, at all times while on-site and/or carrying out duties for clients, wear a bodycam to record all his/her activities.

The footage from the bodycam will be securely stored for 12 months, and made available to clients for security, H&S and quality purposes.
